Hello! Welcome to the "Garden of Learning" in Room 62!! We are an awesome combination of Kinder and First grade SPROUTS (students). We are busy, engaged and intent on learning and making the most of each day we have in our "garden" (Room 62). Each day we read, write, draw, work with numbers, sing songs, cooperate, laugh, and do more reading!! You just watch us grow!!

Here is a picture of my family and I taken at Christmas time with our two dogs! All of my daughters attended La Pluma School. Now, they are in school in different locations (a junior at Azusa Pacific University, s sophmore at Sonora High School, and a seventh grader at Heights Christian Jr. High). My husband is the principal of Corvalis Middle School in Norwalk.

After graduating from Biola University in 1987, I started working in the Norwalk-La Mirada District as a teacher. I first taught at Gardenhill for 2 years and then moved to La Pluma in 1989- been here ever since! I have taught Kindergarten thru 4th grade. I am really committed to the caring, intelligent community we have at La Pluma, so much so that my own 3 children have been educated here! My husband is the principal at Corvalis Middle School so you might say that the Norwalk-La Mirada District runs in the family!
